WebPersonally I've enjoyed using Bluecherry as a back end. All footage stored locally, easy to add in additional storage as your needs grow. It has front end clients for Windows, Mac and Linux for viewing cameras and downloading footage; web interface could be a bit better. We use Hikvision and Amcrest cameras without an issue. WebEven my cheapo (like $30) cameras support a high quality stream and lower quality minor stream. I have all the encoding configured on the camera, and Blue Iris just doing motion detection and dumping streams to disk. Setting it to just dump the streams from the camera to disk (not doing any video encoding) requires much less CPU.
