Web8 Mar 2011 · So for the longest time I have not been able to play 60fps mkv's. And there have been a few posts in the madVR thread by others that seem to have similar problems. I have worked for months to get this working and I am happy to report that I have finally found the issue, and wanted to start this thread to inform others of a potential solution. Web24 Jun 2024 · 2. The lag doesn't happen when using the Enhanced Video Renderer in MPC. But the enhanced video renderer doesn't support HDR, and the colors seem very flat with HDR videos. 3. When playing the same 4k HDR movie on my Dell 1080p monitor with madvr, it doesn't lag during playback.

Web8 Mar 2011 · Most of madVR's improvement is simply due to doing the required math with as high quality as possible, e.g. scaling, color space conversions, dithering, etc. The only true conflict I can think of is smooth motion, which will interact badly with frame interpolation. Web23 Mar 2015 · BTW, I got Madvr to work better in the interim. So the difference between MPDN and Madvr is not quite so striking. Still MPDN scores noticeably better on 1080p and sometimes especially better when upscaling 720p. But Madvr produces a reliably clean picture, whereas in some cases MPDN can be noisy. I followed this … Web25 Feb 2013 · As an alternative, try mpc-hc lite + madvr + lav, hit ctrl+j when you play something with mpc-hc and see what the debug OSD says. This might also help you get smoother playback; set everything to bilinear, see how your laptop performs, then gradually change the chroma / image scaling algorithms. monitor sizes recommended for gaming
